Wetland Restoration

(a.k.a. -- the MUDBUGS!!!)

The Wetland Restoration group at Upwardbound are gathering data from three sites; Otter Point, South Clatsop Slough, Alder Creek.  This data will be available to the community to view.

This page has our learning objectives: Learning Objectives

Some pictures of the sites we are observing. Wetland Sites

The people in the Wetland Restoration group are: Lee Cain (Silverback Mudbug), Jaime Oxley the Student Assistant, Matthew Christopher Cramer the Wiki Master, Dustyn Morrison the ruler of the mud, MaryLynn Ahrensbach, Bobbie Jackson and Tabitha Petteys the crazy one..

Tabitha and Dustyn working together.         Matthew and Mary listening to birds.          Jaime and Mary setting fish traps.          MudBugs walking to their destinations.

While in the Wetlands we are going through protocols to collect data on fish, birds, and amphibians. Here is some of our data on these species.

 Fish

As we catch fish from the net, we measure the length in ml and write the length of it on to a recording sheet.

Birds
