I really like the physics lesson because its something I already knew but not like this. I knew a few things about levers and pulleys but I figured out that theres an endless possiblity on how to use levers and pulleys. You can use these things for moving things to a very high place without putting a lot of effort on your back or your entire body. Mr Keefe was an excellent teacher and he definitely explained everything so that I could understand everything clearly. I definitely had a good time and I know someone who had more fun than any of us put together.

During my time with Pat Keefe, I learned what really goes on when you use pulleys. The pulley itself doesn't necessarily remove the weight of the object, it infact places it in a different direction. The more pulleys the easier because the weight is evenly distributed among the ropes so instead of pulling heavy weight a short distance, you can pull light weight a long distance. Pat is an excellent hands-on teacher but i guess it helps having Einstien there to help you :) He helped us create our own equation to figure out how much work one could do! Remember: apples and oranges don't mix! :) Everybody enjoyed this visit with Pat and we are very thankful for him helping us.

First of all I have to say that Pat Keefe was awesome! Everything he taught us really stuck with me, because of the methods he used, such as when he got some pulleys, levers and string and had us interact with each other and try to get the measurements of the weight on the levers to be different than our partners. He talked about how when you use more pulleys to lift an object, the less effort you had to put into pulling the string, but along with less effort, you have to pull the string farther. The less pulleys you use, the object will be harder to pull, but you wont have to pull the string a great distance. It was a fun lesson, and if I ever take physics here, I'll be sure to snag him as a teacher. :)
